thanks
Hi can you help me understand where 3/5 of 3/4 red marbles come into play and the reason in making 3/4 to 9/12. thanks
In the model I split the 3units of red into 12 equal units. Since 3/4 of red is given away then '4' is the total red and '3' is given away. So, I change the denominator such that it resembles the 12units of total red in the model by timing 3 for denominator and numerator to get 9/12. 9units is given away.
Hope this helps!

The 3/5 is to help to draw the original model first. After that you adjust and label based on what subsequently happens.
thank you very much for the explanation.
