Let u be the total amount of money at first.
Shoes —-> (1/7)u
Remainder = (6/7)u => Comics —> (1/6)(6/7)u = (1/7)u
So left = u – (2/7)u = (5/7)u
(5/7)u = 450
u = 450 x (7/5) = 90 x 7 = 630
Amount of money Ian has at first is $630
