Let u be the total amount of money at first.

Shoes —-> (1/7)u

Remainder = (6/7)u => Comics —> (1/6)(6/7)u = (1/7)u

So left = u – (2/7)u = (5/7)u

(5/7)u = 450

u = 450 x (7/5) = 90 x 7 = 630

Amount of money Ian has at first is $630
