Yeast X multiply by 2 per day
Number of days passed = 9
Total amount of Yeast X required to fill = 1×2×2×2×2×2×2×2×2×2 = 512
b)
Total amount of 4 Yeast X on day 1 is 4
Since the amount of Yeast X on day 3 is the same as the amount of 4 Yeast X on day 1, therefore it takes 2 days lesser to fill the container
Number of days required = 10–2 = 8
