Integration is essentially reverse differentiation. Since the derivative of 1+x^5 is x^4 and the power of 1+x^5 in the denominator is 1, the integral will be a ln function

missed out a 1/5.

derivative of 1+x^5 should be 5x^4,
so answer should be (1/5)ln|1+x^5|+C.
