Express the equation of the circle such that you can obtain the centre of the circle. Then find the gradient of a line from the centre to the point on the edge. Using the rule that a tangent to the point on the edge of a circle is perpendicular to the radius, you will be able to find that tangent by taking the negative reciprocal of the gradient found previously
