Each of the four badminton courts is used for 90 min (regardless of who occupies each court, each court is used for 90 min).

Hence, 4 x 90.

360 minutes of “total court time” is to be shared amongst all 30 people.

Hence, 360/30.

I missed the 4 courts...
So, 4 players at any 1 time at each court.
Therefore, total play time will be 16 × 90 mins. = 1440
Each students play = 1440 ÷ 40 = 48 mins.

Or 12 mins × 4 (courts) = 48 mins

But then, we are not sure whether there will be one, two or four players per court.

It’s difficult to say in this case.
