The first uploaded solutions approach part (ii) incorrectly. You first have to know that y=|ax^2+bx+c| is actually y=ax^2+bx+c with all its negative values reflected up about the y-axis. Next, you have to figure out which part of the curve was reflected by knowing how the y=ax^2+bx+c looks like, which is hinted by a>0.
