I think it's a typo. Assuming the qns is 12-5n,
1st term: 12-5(1)= 7
2nd term: 12-5(2)= 2
3rd term: 12-5(3)= -3
1st term: 12-5(1)= 7
2nd term: 12-5(2)= 2
3rd term: 12-5(3)= -3
