So yes... if you tilt the bus, the position does change. To understand, compare the position of the c.g. of a rectangle when resting on a floor. The c.g. is still at the centre of the rectangle, where the diagonals meet. But the actual c.g. position relative to the floor, whether the rectangle lies on the width or the length of the rectangle... is different.
