the "x" is the center of the circle.
the diameter is a straight line from one point of the circle that passes through the center of the circle to the opposite point on the circle.
the radius is a straight line from one point of the circle to the center. the radius is half of the diameter.
for example, if your diameter is 4cm, the radius is 2cm. hope this helps :)
