1st
To answer a trend question, firstly
1.state the trend (eg. rising trend or if there is an anomaly*)
(*an anomaly is when the trend could be going up on the graph and suddenly it dips and goes up again. the dip is the anomaly!)
2. state from where to where is the trend
3. if they ask for an explanation, explain from textbook knowledge! (eg. there was water shortage due to....]

[this is as much as i remember from secondary 2,,,]
