Hi,
Whenever the answer before has the word "to", it will always be in the present tense and plural verb, which is "to take"
Examples:
Joy likes to eat burgers.
Madison loves to smell the scent of the flowers.

If the phrase is “look forward to…”, the word after “to” will not be a present-tense verb.
Look forward to meeting you again
Look forward to receiving an item
And so on.

Yes, the phrases you are used are gerund, I was referring more to the sentence that was shown, anyway my bad.
