May i know how u arrive at 3/cosine x
By definition, secant is the reciprocal of cosine.
In particular,
Sec x = 1 / cos x
In particular,
Sec x = 1 / cos x
so 3 sec x would be 3(1/ cos x). That's how I got 3 / cos x
