i’m not saying that this method is wrong, but putting it as y=-8 doesn’t seem correct. because from -9 to -8 there are so many values and you are just assuming that it does not touch -8. instead i think you should find the turning point, and since it is quadratic curve where coefficient of x^2 is <0, the curve will not go over the y coordinate of the turning point.
