It might seem impossible, but you can always make one of them to the same thing. In this case, i made both sum of money have the same number of blouse, leaving me with the difference in the sums for the skirts.

The multiplication of the first equation is incorrect.
$214.50 × 4 = $858, not $1716
Subsequently,
11S = $858 - $544.50
11S = $313.50
S = $313.50 ÷ 11 = $28.50
$214.50 × 4 = $858, not $1716
Subsequently,
11S = $858 - $544.50
11S = $313.50
S = $313.50 ÷ 11 = $28.50
No worries. Sorry for the wrong multiplication - 4 x 214.50 is 858.
