Difference unchanged question.
Age difference never changes. When 1 person gets older by 1 year, so will the other person.
So, for Johnny to be 4 times as old as Geraldine, we can let Johnny's age be 4 units, Geraldine's be 1 unit.
Difference = 3 units. Difference also = 51 years - 9 years = 42 years
So 3 units = 42 years
1 unit = 42 years ÷ 3 = 14 years
So Geraldine will be 14 years when Johnny is 4 times as old as her (he will be 4 ×14 years = 56 years old)
This occurs in 5 years' time (14 - 9 = 5 or 56 - 51 = 5)
