√(10² - 8²) + 63 ÷ 9 - 3
= √(100 - 64) + 7 - 3
= √36 + 4
= 6 + 4
= 10
The mistake you made was removing the square root directly and taking off the indices directly. You'll have to simplify the result under the square root first before actually doing the square rooting.
Try it with a calculator to confirm this
