Let x = Original area = Length * breadth
New area
= ( 1.1 * length ) * (0.9 * breadth)
= 1.1 * 0.9 * (length * breadth)
= 0.99 * (length * breadth )
= 0.99x
Percentage change (drop)
= (x - 0.99x)/ x * 100%
= 1%
New area
= ( 1.1 * length ) * (0.9 * breadth)
= 1.1 * 0.9 * (length * breadth)
= 0.99 * (length * breadth )
= 0.99x
Percentage change (drop)
= (x - 0.99x)/ x * 100%
= 1%
