There's no need to expand.
5x(3x - 10) = 0
Divide both sides by 5,
x(3x - 10) = 0/5
x(3x - 10) = 0 (dividing 0 by 5 still gives 0)
Since the product of two factors is 0, either one of them is 0.
x = 0 or 3x - 10 = 0
x = 0 or 3x = 10
x = 0 or x = 10/3 (or 3⅓)
