Hi there, I think it may be a bit confusing but I have included an explanation below and hope my working is able to help. You can ask more questions to clarify as well.

Explanation:
1. Using the model method, I first divide red balloons into no. of green balloons + 235. This is so that you can convert the fractions into the same denominator and work with same base units.

2. Hence when 4/5 of red balloons are lost, you have to remember that is also equals to 4/5 of green balloons + 4/5 of 235, as shown in the model.

Once you can understand the above two points, it should be simple enough to do the math calculations from there on.
