F : S : N : Total
4 : 2 : 1 : 7
Since the total amount paid is $28, we change the ratio such that the total units = 28. That would mean $1 for each unit.
Now 7 × 4 = 28.
Multiply throughout by 4 ,
F : S : N : Total
16 : 8 : 4 : 28
So $16 was spent on fishballs.
Since fishballs were sold at 16 for $1,
then with $16, number of fishballs she bought = 16 × 16 = 256
Number of seaweed chickens she bought = 256 × ⅜ = 96
Number of nuggets she bought = 96 × ⅓ = 32
Total number of fishballs and nuggets bought = 256 + 32 = 288
