It is important to understand the concepts of HCF and LCM.
Highest common factor (HCF) refers to the largest possible number that all other numbers in question can be divided by, without leaving remainders.
In question 7, note that
160 cannot be divided by 3 or 3^2
144 cannot be divided by 5 or 2^5
The largest factor that is common between the two numbers is hence 2^4.
Lowest common multiple (LCM) refers to the smallest possible number that all the numbers in question are factors of.
Similarly for question 7, note that we want to include the largest possible factors and all factors that are not shared between the two numbers.
This means we want to include 3^2 and 5, and select 2^5 (since it is the larger factor over 2^4).
Hence LCM = 2^5 × 3^2 × 5.
Hope this helps.
