a) Take the area of the rectangle (9*36) - the area of the two semi-circles ( [pi]r^2 )

b) Take the area of the big circle ( [pi]r^2 ) - [the area of the square (14*14) + the area of the 4 semi-circles ( 2[pi]r^2 )]
= 22/7*14^2 - [196 + 2(22/7*7^2)]
= Your answer, use your calculator
