Hi so essentially you take it here that Jason has 5 units while Mabel has 11 units of money. If they have a difference of $48, that means that (11-5) units is equals to $48. Hence, 1 unit of money here is represented by (48/6), which gives us $8. So the total sum of money is given by (11+5) units of money, 16 units. Thus total sum is 16 x $8 = $128
