For this question, you will have to compare the longest sides of both similar quadrilaterals.
Longest side of the first quadrilateral = 8cm
Longest side of the second quadrilateral = 6cm
Since they are similar, ratio of their areas = square of the ratio of their corresponding side lengths.
Ratio of corresponding side lengths = 8 : 6 = 4 : 3
So ratio of their areas = 4² : 3² = 16 : 9
Area of the second quadrilateral = 40cm² × 9/16 = 22.5cm²
