I believe the question has a typo or not stated clearly, it wants you to calculate dy/dt when x= pi/6.
When you differentiate the expression, you would get 2sec^2(2x + pi/2) which cannot be keyed into some calculators. Hence you can change it to 2 / cos^2 (2x+ pi/2)
cos^2 may not be able to keyed in some calculators, so you may change it to [cos(2x + pi/2)]^2. Both expressions will evaluate to the same result.
Finally make sure to set your calculator to radian mode before calculating to arrive at the correct answer.
