i) Since uₙ is a cubic polynomial in n, let uₙ = An³ + Bn² + Cn + D, where A,B,C,D are constants.
u₁ = A(1³) + B(1²) + C(1) + D → 32.1 = A + B + C + D
u₂ = A(2³) + B(2²) + C(2) + D→ 17 = 8A + 4B + 2C + D
u₃ = A(3³) + B(3²) + C(3) + D→ 0.7 = 27A + 9B + 3C + D
u₄ = A(4³) + B(4²) + C(4) + D→ -7.8 = 64A + 16B + 4C + D
Solving for these four equations (using GC or manually), A = 1.5, B = -9.6, C = 3.2, D = 37
