Student, You are not exactly wrong to say that they are congruent. From what we can see, they clearly look so and should be.
But that would only be confirmed if the included angle, or the other non-included angle, or the 3rd side was allowed to be measured.
Diagrams may not be drawn to scale so we can't just judge based on visual observation.
Mr Ang drew the other length of 3 to show another possible triangle , and thus showed that SSA (two sides and a non-included angle) is not sufficient to show congruency.
Because we were not given the included angle, we do not have the proof and cannot conclude that they are congruent.
(even though we can see based on the images, in terms of dimensions and angles, they obviously are identical but this is just a visual observation, with no actual measurements done.
