the height of QPL looks slightly shorter as compared to the height of QLM tho

LockB, for these two triangles QPL and QML, the triangles have a base which lie along the same line PM (with the first triangle having PL as the base and the second triangle having ML as the base).

They share the same perpendicular height, which is found by drawing a point from Q, directed perpendicular to PM, to cut the line PM at the "foot".
