I find that it is impossible to differenciate part c. I got T= 2x+400 as an answer, and when differenciated means dt/dx=2 (since x powe 1 minus 1 is 0, meaning the x is gone)

Pythagoras Theorem :

CD² = AC² + AD²

CD² = 20² + x²

CD = √(400+x²)


T = 5 CD + 3 DB
T = 5√(400+x²) + 3(100 - x)
T = 5√(400+x²) + 300 - 3x

You should be diffentiating this.
