Okay firstly, you need to know that cos curve shape

If u draw a horizontal line that is 0.5, you would know that it cuts curve when x=pie/3 and 2pie- pie/3 and so on.. This is because, the cos curve REPEATS itself every 2pie and is symmetrical. So basically, it is the front of curve+pie/3 and back-pie/3 that gives 0.5, length of one full curve is 2pie, so 0+pie/3,2pie-pie/3. Then next repeat curve is 2pie +pie/3 and 4pie-pie/3
