Hi ! Does anyone know how can I explain to my little brother on why the answer is (1.drop). May I know what topic is this if you know ?(Eg. Present perfect tense etc.) Thank you !

Google ‘Verbs of Perception’.
For me, I teach my students to notice Verb 1 + Object + Verb 2, in this case, saw + the toddler + drop. Then, know that Verb 2 is either in the infinitive (no s, ing, or past tense) or a gerund.
Other examples (not just verbs of perception):
I helped my father wash his car.
Sam heard his sister cry out loud.
Sam heard his sister crying in the kitchen.
Ken watched his house burn down.
