Thank you for your answer, but the triangle PQT isn't a right angled triangle, so how does trigonometry (tan) apply to that triangle.
PQT is a right angled triange because PQ is on ground level and T and vertically(directly) above P. So the right angle is at angle TPQ. Thats why the PT is perpendicular to the ground.
