7 - 5x = 2m + 9x

Bring terms over to each side,

7 - 2m = 9x + 5x
7 - 2m = 14x

Base on question info , We need -2 < x < 1

Multiply whole inequality by 14,

-28 < 14x < 14

Since 14x = 7 - 2m,

-28 < 7 - 2m < 14

Subtract 7,

-28 - 7 < 7 - 2m - 7 < 14 - 7
-35 < -2m < 7

Divide by 2,

-17.5 < -m < 3.5

Multiply by -1 (flip the signs),

17.5 > m > -3.5

Rewrite as :

-3.5 < m < 17.5
