No left over means all the eggs in all the trays must be used up and all the bread slices in all the loaves must be used up.

So we must count the loaves and trays in multiples and the respective number of bread slices and eggs in them.


1 sandwich requires 1 egg and 2 bread slices.

No matter how many sandwiches you make, the number of bread slices must be twice the number of eggs used.

So we do listing of the eggs and bread slices.

Eggs : 6,12,18,24,30,36,42,48,54,60
Bread : 10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100,110,120


We can see that the combinations where number of bread slices = 2 tomes number of eggs are :

30 eggs, 60 bread slices
60 eggs, 120 bread slices


Least number of slices = 60
Least number of loaves = 60 ÷ 10 per loaf
= 6

Number of sandwiches = 60 slices ÷ 2 slices per sandwich = 30

Or

number of sandwiches = number of eggs used (Since only 1 egg is used in every sandwich)

= 30
