For part i, apply linear law by arranging the above equation into ybx^2=ax+2. Make it in the form of Y =MX+C. Make use of the coordinates given to obtain the two simultaneous equations to solve for a and b.
For part ii, substitute the values of a and b into the above equation as shown in the picture. Rearranging it, a quadratic equation results . Since there is only one value of x, discriminant must be 0 in this case. Hope it helps!
