This means that ratio of
books : magazines = 5 : 4
Magazines are packed into bundles of 6.
He had 2 more bundles of magazines than books.
Number of magazines in this 2 bundles
= 6 magazines x 2
= 12 magazines
But if we separate this 2 bundles, and compare the rest of the magazine bundles and book bundles only,
the number of bundles is the same for both kinds.
Since each magazine bundle has 6 magazines and each book bundle has 10 books,
6/10 = 3/5
The number of magazines in 1 magazine bundle is 3/5 that of the number of books in 1 book bundle.
The fraction is always the same when comparing equal number of magazines bundles and book bundles
2 magazine bundles : 12 magazines
2 book bundles : 20 books
12 / 20 = 3/5
100 magazine bundles : 600 magazines
100 book bundles : 1000 books
600/1000 = 6/10 = 3/5
