Since 1 packet of rice is 14.8 kg heavier than 1 box, first find the additional weight of 5 packets of rice.

14.8 multiply by 5 = 74kg

We know the total weight of box and rice to be 103.7kg.

So, by using 103.7 kg - 74 kg = 29.7 kg

This is the weight of 5 packets of rice and 1 box (6 items) , assuming that they weigh the same now.

A) mass of 1 packet of rice = 29.7 Divide by 6 = 4.95kg

4.95 + 14.8 = 19.75kg

B) mass of box is 4.95 kg
