angle DBC + angle ABD = 180^
angle DBC = 180 - 40 = 140^
angle y = 180 - 140 - 15 = 25^

angle ADC = angle BCD = 70 + 25 = 95^
angle z = 95degree

If angle y = 20degree,
Triangle ACD do not add up to 180degree therefore angle y = 25degree

How do u manage to find the value of y just by knowing triangle ACD is not 180? And how do u know it is not 180?

Notice that ad and ce are parallel, hence z = x + y
