I need help with this question as I don't understand what I am suppose to do

Both side multiply by 5 to remove the fraction, then u bring all the x terms to one side to simplify, then find individual x term.
In this case 4x+2=(14)(5). So 4x+2=70. 4x=70-2. 4x=68. x=68/4=17.
