Cant find the solution to this
Whoever drew the diagram did not do a proper job of doing so.
If the unshaded triangle hits the bottom right corner of the square, the shaded area would have been
Area of large rectangle - Area of unshaded triangle
= 22 x 16 - 1/2 x 22 x 16
= 176 cm2

Yes, agreed with you Eric Nicholas K. Puzzled how a P5 student is expected to solve this.
