Discriminant needs to be lesser than 0, as this means that when the equation equals 50, there is no real roots, symbolising that there is no value of x that results in the height being 50meter.
For part (iii), just say that “since c=20, which is lesser than 30, the ball cannot reach the height of 50meters.
