How to make n the subject?

n^0.5+a =ya(n)^0.5
a = ya(n)^0.5 - n^0.5
a = (n^0.5)[ya - 1]
n = [a/(ya - 1)]^2 (ans)
a = ya(n)^0.5 - n^0.5
a = (n^0.5)[ya - 1]
n = [a/(ya - 1)]^2 (ans)
Where did the 0.5 came from?
square root of n is the same as n to the power of 0.5. It’s basically square root of n.
