Let the radius of the smaller circle be r
Area of 2 small circle = 2πr^2
Area of larger circle = π(2r)^2 = 4πr^2
Area of shaded = 4πr^2 - 2πr^2
Ratio of shaded to unshaded
= (4πr^2 - 2πr^2)/(2πr^2)
You will factorize 2πr^2 out and you will get
2πr^2(2-1)/(2πr^2) and you will get 1/1 which is 1:1.
