Hi, might want to ask the teacher to explain cos both B and C is correct. UNLESS, the teacher say the procedure requires 2-3 embryos to be formed (then B is wrong) cos in actual procedure, they don’t just take 1 egg and 1 sperm to form 1 embryo,
Or even the teacher wants to use the better word: zygote. Which also means B is wrong.

B is wrong because fusion of gametes form zygotr not embryo.
C is correct because after fertilisation to form zygote, cell division occurs to form blastocyst which them forms embryo.
Embryo is then implanted in the uterine lining.
