i do not have the question paper with me but it is to put that series into sigma notation including the term r^2 as the question gave r^2 value to sub in

Its the sum r(n + 2r) where r is the termth number from 1 all the way up to n.

We can expand the expression inside the sum which yields us with rn +2r². Thanks for asking! Hope this helps.

That expression containing a term in r^2 is nr + 2 r^2.
