i know this is not math but none of my friends know how to do , would be great if someone could help :) and i need it by today

a) Since the air supply is cut off, oxygen taken in by plants during respiration and carbon dioxide given off. With the liquid removing the carbon dioxide as well, the level of air in the closed system will reduce. The ink will move backwards towards the setup.

b) Clue: if light is present, photosynthesis will occur. If that happen, the change in volume of air is no longer due to respiration only.

c) With air entering and exiting and photosynthesis occurring, the volume of air within the system is no longer restricted. If so, will the drop of ink still be affected?

well , for (b) ur clue could be clearer :) how does the plastic bag affect ? even if light is entering and co2 is introduced , the substance is still there .. it will remove the co2 , other than that , ur explanation is thorough

My bad. I mistaken the dark cover as the plastic bag.
So for part b, the bag covers the pot and the soil. The bag can trap the air produced by microorganisms in the soil during respiration. So the air produce will not affect the results.
