If you already did part B then you can see that the sides of triangle HJG and triangle DJK are in the ratio of 2:1.

Therefore GJ : JK = 2:1.

Triangle GJF and triangle JKF share the same height but they have different bases, which are GJ and JK.

So area of triangle GJF = 2 * area of triangle JKF = 2 * 24cm^2 = 48cm^2.

I dont understand how the height of triangles JGF and JKF are the same. Could you please elaborate for me?

The perpendicular distance from GJ to F is equal to the perpendicular distance from JK to F.
