for part (iii)
LM / RS = PL / PR ...... (1)
LM / PQ = LR / PR ......(2)
(1) + (2) gives
LM / RS + LM / PQ = PL / PR + LR / PR
LM (1/RS + 1/PQ) = (PL + LR) / PR
since PL + LR = PR,
LM (1/14 + 1/6) = PR / PR
LM x (5/21) = 1
LM = 21/5 = 4.2 cm
LM / RS = PL / PR ...... (1)

If PQ is 6 cm, then 0 < LM < 6.
therefore, answer LM cannot be 6 cm.
