Sorry, I hadn’t seen the mod 3.

So basically what I mentioned previously holds - X will cause the number e^(X + 2) to change rapidly, while Y will cause the log term to increase slowly.

When you take mod 3, you are essentially finding the “remainder” when you divide your expression by 3. As y increases, the log term will eventually increase slowly, to a point where increasing y slightly will not affect the value of the expression (compare log 10000 with log 10001).

However, X changes rapidly and as such the remainders will change rapidly.

So, X will have a larger influence.
